When I woke up, I was feverish, but still not sure whether it be a side effect from the shot I had from the doctor's office. I wanted to go to the gym today, so I raised and had a breakfast normally. My dad started washing cars as the weather was very nice today, so I helped him in a bit cold temperature outside (about 5 celcius or so, but handling cold water made it much colder than it would be without). My body was a bit sluggish, as if I had not much energy, but I wanted to complete helping my dad with cleaning the cars first, so I proceeded to clean for the next one hour or so. By the time I finished, I went upstairs and cleaned both my parents's and my rooms. I layed down in bed listening to this cd that my friend mailed me ("Immortal Memory" by Lisa Gerrard) and fell into sleep. This album really relaxes me and puts me in such trance where words scatter away from me and just let the sound of music surrender myself. Anyhow, by the time I woke up around 4pm, my body started aching, so it was clear that I had gotten a cold. I got some medication and went back to sleep after eating curry udon noodles. I then slept until 9pm and woke up, and ate supper with my parents. After we ate supper, my dad complained how his thighs are sore, so I gave him some massage on his feet and lower legs. I then gave the same massage to my mom. I then was going to go and sleep, but my mom offered me some feet massage (my dad offered me shoulder massage), so I accepted them and relaxed like a spoiled fool. LOL
I felt such harmony and peace in the house, and was very happy to experience such moment with them here in Japan. Okay, I gotta go and sleep now. Good nite, and wish me good luck that my cold will go away by tomorrow morning. Peace :)

Spending time with my mom
My mom and I spent some time together while my dad went for snowboarding in Nagano. My dad started snowboarding at the age of 50 to strengthen his leg muscles for golfing, but now he is very addicted to it, and is working hard to get a snowboarding instructor's license. I like and admire my dad's "always chasing after dreams" spirit, which does not stop him based on age related factors. In a way, many think that I have inherited much of his personality, and speaking of my adventurous personality in blood, I was told that I am a man in spirit, but appear as woman from a psychic many moons ago. LOL But considering my "go-getter" personality, and "hate-to lose my weakness" attitude, it maybe somewhat true. LOL However, I always cherish my feminine nature that has been given and learned from my own mother: I have learned such joy bringing joy and happiness by doing something for others, whether it be giving friends/family massages or providing hearty and healthy meals to fulfill one's soul.
Anyway, my mom and I first had a doctor's visit, and followed by shopping at a nearest shopping center, where I purchased a blandy chocolate for Valentine's day for my dad. Then we went to this cafe where they had an bead-jewelry exhibition. I gained some new inspiration for my bead craft hobby by seeing other people's work there. Then we were going to go home, but both of us realized how hungry we were, so we went to a Chinese restaurant for a quick hunger fix (my mom was hungry for some noodles). I ate some sticky rice and had some of my mom's pan fried gyoza dumplings. I liked them very much!
Then we went to a couple other shops, stopped at a postal office to sent some packages to friends, and came home. At nite I felt a bit feverish, but not so sure whether it was a side effect from the shot I got from the doctor's office. So I did not bother too much, and tried going to bed. I had seen my mom playing the solitaire at nite (she is addicted to the game and actually is pretty good at it), so I was like: "if she can do it, maybe I can probably do it too". LOL
How fool of me to make such assumption. With the three cards drawing setting, I could not pass a single game. I got furious, and continued playing for the next 1.5 hrs or so. By at 3am, I gave up and changed the setting to 1 card drawing and won a game, and allowed myself to fall into sleep. LOL

At Yakitori Restaurant
My parents have been sick since Friday that I have been taking care of the house work mainly by myself that I have not had a chance to update my site until now. It is already 2am here, but I wanted to log something here before going to bed.
An email from my good friend notifying me of her recent changes in her life, getting a slot in a radio station program as well as work opportunity at her university has been inspiring me that I have been telling myself to be forward/aggresive with things that I am interested in as well as on the needs that I need to take care of.
On Friday, when I went to the local gym, I re-realized that I need some short term goals to keep me focused on personal progression and to fulfill myself much further. I have been doing yoga the first thing in the morning since I came here, so my mission on spontaneous activity on yoga has been fulfilled so far. Another activity that I want to be spontaneous is to explore my interest in dancing. I have recently purchased this DVD that features house/b-bap/tap dance steps, especially because I was attracted to the dance style that I saw at the end of the movie, Za-to-ichi. So I want to master some of the steps on the DVD. Speaking of dancing, I hope to go dancing sometime soon, but now that I live far from the club scene, I do not know how soon my wish will come true, but I can dance anywhere as long as I have my music with me :)
Last Tuesday, my parents took me to this yakitori (skewed grilled chicken) bar/restaurant. I liked how cozy the place looked, as well as the taste of yakitori, so I took some photos to share my experience with you guys.
